TV personality Boity Thulo found herself as a trending topic on Saturday night, after a zoomed in picture of what seemed to be her private parts went viral shortly after she walked the Sama 2016 red carpet.
A seething Boity has come out strongly against the picture which has been doing the rounds on social media since Saturday night.
The TV star slammed commentary around it saying that the picture was clearly Photoshopped.
Speaking to Sowetan Boity said that she would never wear such a skimpy dress that it showed off her vagina.
“I mean, it was so clearly photoshopped, anyone can see that. I would never wear a dress that was so skimpy as to show my vagina,” she said.
Taking to her Facebook page Boity also lashed out at people for ‘body shaming’ her.
“I will not allow your projection to make me dislike MY body. I am in love with my body and I will dress it as I please. Your obsession and double standards of the female body is tiring. I will not wear something that does not make me happy for the sake of pleasing people who are angry at how comfortable I am in my skin,” she said.
Boity added that she encourages women to dress as they please in whatever they feel comfortable in.
“My body and how I dress it should not effect you in any way. We do not share the body nor do we make a joint effort in clothing it. Stop. Body. Shaming. Thanks,” she added.
